The National Forum for the Integration of Polish Metrology, one of the activities under the task “Establishment and coordination of the activities of the Polish Metrological Union (PMU)”, was held on October 18, 2021 at the Main Hall of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology. The event featured representatives of most Polish universities, research institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Łukasiewicz Research Network, and authorities of the City of Lublin.
The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, was the event’s guest of honour. The Forum was hosted by Professor Zbigniew Pater, Rector of the Lublin University of Technology.
10 institutions from all over Poland signed a symbolic declaration of joining the Union, including: the Central Office of Measures, Poznan University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology, Kielce University of Technology, Lublin University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology, Opole University of Technology, Łukasiewicz Research Network’s Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy, Silesian University of Technology, and Warsaw University of Technology. A letter of intent to join the Union was sent to universities, scientific institutions and research centres all over Poland.
